My name is Shirley Mae Parkhurst Yonts, I am married to Franklin D. Yonts. We live in Henrietta, Texas. We have three sons, Robert, Michael and David and six grandchildren.

I am the first of six children born to Robert Gerald and Violet Doty Parkhurst. I was born in Carleton, Michigan on January 17, 1940. Prior to my marriage, in 1959, I spent most of my life in Hamilton and Boone counties of Indiana.

I am a descendent of Samuel and Sarah Gard Parkhurst, through Jacob and Anna Craft Parkhurst, William and Rebecca Goble Parkhurst, John A. and Lucinda Simmons Parkhurst and finally to Robert Gerald and Violet Doty Parkhurst.

During my research of my family history, my husband and I have visited the grave sites of my grandparents back to and including Jacob and Anna Parkhurst.
